Garbage, major problem in city

Garbage, major problem in city

Different area like peer bazaar, Darga signal, sille khana road etc have pile of garbage on road. Though this place has big garbage collecting bins still garbage is big problem of this areas.
In a survey it is said that 430 metric tonnes of garbage is produced a day in city. The AMC has been struggling science last month to dispose the waste after the villagers of naregaon said they will not allow the dumping there garbage any longer.
Peer bazaar is mainly know for vegetable and fruit market. The garbage is dumped just beside the market which is creating big problem in this area. Ramu patil vegetable vender said this was one on the biggest vegetable market in the city but now due to this garbage problem people had slowly stop coming here as the think it is not hygienic to buy things from here. In summer and winter people come to market but in rainy season rearly crowd is seen , due to foul smell we can hardly stay here full day moreover , due to water collecting in bins things over here become harzardous to us. Mrs Rathi says as we live in this area we don’t have any other option rather than buying fruits and vegetables from here though there is no hygiene. We regularly check up as there is constant fear of getting any disease from here.
